How to pause an escape game?

You can easily pause an outdoor escape game by simply stopping playing it. You don't even need to close your browser. This fact doesn't matter. However, it's important to remember that the game's timer will continue to run while you are paused. The application cannot distinguish between when you are just thinking and when you are pausing the game*. 

If you want to continue a paused game, simply log in to the game in the standard way, just as you did when you first started it. The game will load at the point where you last left off.

Pausing the game and its impact on the result

The fact that the timer continues to run even when the game is paused, based on the principle mentioned above, affects your overall game score. But only to a limited extent!

*While we considered the option of pausing the game and stopping the timer, we ultimately decided not to implement this feature. This way, we do not provide even a theoretical competitive advantage to teams who would have more time to think about a paused task, whether they intended to consciously use this fact or not. Conversely, using a fixed time penalty for pausing the game could affect teams whose phones simply ran out of battery or whose web connection temporarily dropped.
