In what weather should you NOT play an outdoor escape game?

Pavel Bureš

Deciding when to go on an outdoor escape game can be a crucial factor for the overall experience.

The weather can either open the doors to an unforgettable adventure or quickly slam them shut, "pinching your fingers" in the process!

Take it easy, but everyone has their comfort zone somewhere else, and it's a shame when players don't check the weather forecast in advance and have to interrupt the game, for example, due to all-day rain.

We always recommend playing our outdoor escape games exclusively in daylight and, if possible, in good weather.

Not everyone would agree that: "An experience doesn't have to be positive, just strong!"

What to wear?

For an outdoor escape game, dress a little warmer than for a regular walk. Especially on colder days, you need to consider that when solving some tasks, you will be standing in one place, and you won't warm up by moving during these moments.

In winter, only with gloves!

In winter, only with gloves

Even if the temperature isn't near freezing, your fingers will appreciate being as warm as possible. So, wear gloves in winter. If they have removable fingertips or you even have gloves with touch-sensitive index finger tips, it will greatly facilitate handling your phone.

In summer, be prepared for an unexpected shower, and if thunderstorms are forecast, it's better to postpone the game to another day.

When to go?

In spring and autumn, it gets dark early, and even though our games can be played after sunset, it will definitely affect your experience. For some ciphers and tasks, you will have to use a flashlight or your phone, and the game will be extended disproportionately.

Choose your starting time wisely

In your planning, consider the length of daylight, the estimated time required for the specific game, and your time availability.

Don't overdo it!

Our games can be interrupted! You can return to them anytime in better weather or at least wait until the rain stops.
